For those of you who don't know: Megan Meier was a thirteen year old depressed girl (over her weight) that frequently signed on to myspace. She met someone online who started out as a nice friend but then began to emotionally abuse her bad qualities and ended up pushing her to kill herself.

I don't know how she had all those self esteem issues and how she allowed the person messaging her get to her.

Yes, she looks like she was a very cute girl. And this is a terribly sad story.

She doesn't look overweight. That's why my kids HAVE to let me be their friend on Myspace so I can monitor it some for them.

She was a very beautiful girl. How tragic that a grown woman would pose as a teen aged boy and drive the girl to suicide. And with no charges. Very Sad!

Yeah. But maybe only in that pic. You can't exactly tell the beauty of a person based on his/her photograph.

And btw, I think it was a stupid decision to choose to end her life based on another person's words. Just stupid.

she was a bit plumb, but she looks pretty and has a nice smile.

I think that you're missing the big picture.

Depression kills pretty people and ugly ones too. Suicide is always a tragedy, regardless of the person's external beauty.

Depression is one of those things that can build and build and build until something that sounds stupid is enough to put you over the top and prompt a destructive act.

I know this because I was clinically depressed, and luckily was able to seek clinical help instead of doing something rash. I'm on meds now and I've been fine ever since.

I would really like to question her parents ! All this freaking "computer freedom" ! I would have "checked in from time to time on my daughter" to see what she is up to in her room !!

I have no time whatsoever for emotionally crippled bullies whose only aim in life is to bring down others for their own selfish reasons.

This pic of Megan is very nice nd it saddens me when people can manipulate someone to such a terrifying intensity like this especially someone so young who was probably groomed by some sicko I just hope the person responsible for pushing her to do this is brought to justice sooner rather than later so as to mark one more nuisance of the list of statistics.

I pray for the spirit of Megan and many blessings for her loved ones.

She was very pretty. She was a gorgeous, precious child with her whole life ahead of her. She's no less valuable as a human being because of her size, or the curve of her hips. If someone harassed an anorexic until she died that would me HUGE news. The grown woman that is behind all this should be charged with murder, or at least man slaughter. She was responsible for inflicting the fatal blow to that child's self esteem, she should go to prison for it.

She looked pretty, but her eyes were questionable of something. I dunno how she could let someone get to her emotions either, but it would seem that she was extremely lonely, and had no one to really talk to that was actually real!

It's sad, but it is also a part of life; we all should learn from how others are affected by these means of communications.

NO- somehow I missed that. I just read up some on it. Lori Drew actually laughed about it and said it was only a joke. How does a person laugh after someone kills themselves. Lori Drew needs some serious help. Her last message to that poor girl was -

"the world would be better off without you"

It doesn't sound like a joke to me.

Poor girl, people shouldn't make such bad decisions based on other's opinions. Not everyone have a good self esteem these days. She was pretty.
