I totally don't know this girl but I really like what I see on her myspace. Yes, she is pretty; however, there are plenty of pretty girls who don't seem to have the character, personality, or compatibility I am looking for. So anyway, I saw her profile. Asked for an add. She is now one of my myspace friends as of the past weekend. Is it too forward to message her. If I do, any suggestions? I could always be myself, I know. But any suggestions beyond that?

Just talk to her. Send her comment or something asking how she is. Or just send something to break the ice. If she has Aim or Yahoo Messenger, ask for it after a small period of time.

Why don't you suggest a casual but fun date such as bowling or putt putt golf which wouldn't be too uncomfortable but it would allow you a chance to get to know each other.

Since she's added you as one of her MySpace friends (and vice verse), it's perfectly acceptable to send her a message. Read her profile, her friends' comments, and her blog entries (if she has any) to understand her interests and hobbies, her pet peeves and perks, and then suggest getting together for someone fun, casual, and light-hearted that you'll both enjoy.
